Do NOT rent here!! I lived at Condie Cottage for a year, and I loved it and the girls I lived with, but Jenice does not respect her tenants. When I lived there, she would come and look through our personal items, and try to move things around and enter our rooms

without permission, even when people were in those rooms. I confronted her several times because it made my roommates really unconfortable, but she wouldn't stop. When I left almost a year ago, she charged me a high emount in cleaning fees when the house was still being lived in, the clean checks themselves were completed a week after I cleaned, and I was told if there were things I missed, I could come back and clean more, but I was never given that chance. Her cleaning sheet is a joke because she charges costs like $15 for not dusting. And when I talked with Jenice about it, she said she wouldn't charge me, but now she wants the money now almost a year later. Do not rent from her. She wants your money, and your respect, and pretents to care but she does not respect you, even when you respectfully talk with her about your truthful concerns.

This house is a very nice house, it has lots of potential. The yard is gorgeous (when it isn't covered in 6 feet of snow) the whole place is overall nice. However: The owner is NOT tenant friendly. She will find any opportunity to charge you on anything. She will not communicate

effectively, she will blame everything on anyone except herself. She does not do background checks, which often ends with nasty roommate situations (my time here with one of these unwanted roommates has lead me to therapy and counseling it was that bad). While I contacted her about that said roommate, and she promptly evicted that tenant, it was solely because she was worried about the property NOT the tenants. Ever since, she has only visited the property once UNNANOUNCED and moved around almost every tenants stuff while they were away on Christmas break. Furthermore, I tried contacting her about the mold in the bathroom that was here before I moved in, in which the law states that's on the owner to take care of... Her response was to put some elbow grease into scrubbing the obvious supermold because she doesn't want to take care of her own property in which she claims "doesn't make much money" after shoving 9 girls into one house. I was absolutely willing to tough it out with the Managers, who were a fantastic buffer between tenant and owner, except they left to live their life, and the new managers are not experienced, and are at the mercy of the Owner's anti-tenant expectations. The owner cares so much about appearance, yet puts none of the effort into her own property, expecting 9 female tenants with no background check to not only get along, but to take on the responsibility of their own maintenance, although stated in contract that is not our job. This is the 23rd property I've lived on in my life, and I know a greedy Owner/landlord when I see one. This has been the worst. There is extremely poor communication, and you're set up for failure. If you want to live here I highly recommend a one month contract to make a quick escape. If you want a place to put your stuff and not ever actually live here, you are the ideal tenant, however if you want to have any life at all, prepare to be micromanaged from 500 miles away.

Best place I’ve ever lived. I absolutely love it and the girls that live here! Heidi is the BEST landlord around. She’s kind, helpful, and is always willing to listen. A lot of the bad reviews on here are because the girls broke the rules. Heidi always makes sure that everyone

in the house is comfortable with their roommates so everyone can live in peace. She makes us cookies and brings over little treats, her husband is always there to help fix things around the house right when we need it. I LOVE living here.

I really loved the house, the neighborhood and I was lucky to have good managers. I lived at this house for over a year and so I’ve seen it during highs and lows. The bishopric is outstanding and is what kept me there for so long and so if you’re

looking to join that ward just be aware of all that is stated below. Sadly, it’s clear to me the owners are often unreasonable and difficult to work with. I have never given a poor google review because I hope my poor interactions are isolated incidents. However, please know if you move here that prices change every semester and policy changes to best serve the owner regardless of business etiquette. Some examples: I was asked to pay $20 dollars a day to store items in the garage over a break that was advertised as storage (and that was not consistent with past tenants), owners would not allow roommates to buy a contract from a leaving roommate though it was allowed in the past, does not allow rearrangement of old dysfunctional furniture, prices are unfair and does not offer a discount for returning tenants, the fridge needs an update and was so neglected tenants had to tape parts of it together or avoid certain shelves until the shelves shattered and were only then replaced, all rooms are priced the same though they are extremely different and one room should definitely be a private room, the trash cans have been dictated to stay in this little closet that no matter how many times you clean it out smells of rot, etc Now the house is going to be across from a giant new apartment complex and I hope the owners will reconsider their treatment of their tenants and managers as they have a cute property that has wonderful potential.

This house was honestly not the problem, the house was a lot of fun to live in, it has a great backyard and good potential, however, when I moved in the house was dirty, but that still wasn’t the main issue. The main problem with this house is the owner

and the roommates. The owner does not do background checks before tenants move in, which often leads to bad roommate situations. We had to live with a roommate who was bipolar and didn’t take her meds regularly, she would often yell at us, slam doors and cupboards, and even stole our sharp utensils(knifes, forks, and scissors) which were only returned after she had been evicted once the police got involved. Now moving onto the owner. The owner is only out for money. She will do anything in her power to make sure that you will not get your security deposit back, often blaming you for stains or messes that you did not cause and were there before you moved in. She doesn’t take the time to manage the property and keep it nice, for example when confronted about the mold in the bathroom that was there before I arrived she stated that it was the tenants responsibly, when by law, if it was there before the tenant has moved in it is up to the landlord to take care of it. She also has no respect for your privacy. She’ll never tell you when she’s dropping in, even though in the contract it states that she has to give you at least a 12 hour notice before hand, and I’ve had first hand experience with this. She came by over Christmas break to replace some furniture. She was supposed to only replace the bed frames and couches, but she had moved all of my personal belongings which were not in the way of the furniture she was replacing. She has absolutely no communication with the tenants unless it is about money. She leaves all communication to go through the assistant managers who are young inexperienced married couples who don’t know how to be landlords. But even when tenants communicate with the assistant managers the owner claims she never got the message, for example we had found a stray cat on the property and messaged the assistant managers asking if it was okay that the cat stay in the house, because it says no pets on the contract, until we either found its owner or could take it to the shelter. It had been thanksgiving weekend and all the shelters were closed and the temperature was in the negatives, much too cold for us to leave the cat outside. The assistant manger said it was fine and that she would let the owner know, the cat was only at the house for 4 days, when we found its owner. The cat made no messes and caused no damage to anything in the house. The assistant managers showed us the text to the owner so we know she was let known of the situation, but the owner claimed she didn’t know and charged our security deposit for the cat being there proving she doesn’t even communicate with her assistant managers. This place is a good buffer place to live if your looking for another place and haven’t found anything yet, but for long term you’re in a world of hurt trying to work with the owner on anything, she just wants money.
