This is the absolute worst complex I've had the horror of sending family to. The managers are uncaring. They give zero notice to their deteriorating complex around them. Ignore their tenants, and refuse to try even the bare minimum to help. It's almost laughable if they weren't so enraging. And

this is not a case of "they're tough management". There is no positives, just an awful experience. Any positive reviews I'm convinced are bought. If you hate your kids, send them here.

I love The Pines! Management is fantastic and super responsive. The manager, Jordan, works hard to make The Pines a great place to live. I have loved living here, and I will always recommend it to any student.

DO NOT LIVE HERE: I lived here for one semester back in 2021 and this place was the worst apartment that I have ever lived in while in rexburg. When I entered the apartment, I discovered that management had not done a white glove for the apartment which is where I

discovered that there was moldy bread and cookware left behind by previous tenants. The apartments were also literal ovens, it was super humid in the apartments and using any of the appliances made the apartment heat up. The stove was also not leveled properly which made cooking food a daunting task. It was also difficult to store food in the freezer due to it being broken. The Wi-Fi was also terrible, I would also constantly deal with my connection getting dropped while I was in class. The only thing this place has going for it is its location.

This apartment is so close to campus, SO affordable, and has lots of great amenities - heating, pool table, laundry room that uses an app to pay instead of quarters, garbage disposal, etc. It is definitely older than some of the new expensive apartment complexes but it’s much more affordable,

right next to campus, and next to lots of great restaurants and stores as well as Porter Park! (Jimmy Johns, Kiwi Loco, Deseret Book, Kainoa’s, Crumbl, etc.)

I moved to the Pines in 2021 and have lived there since and am now leaving due to life changes, however it's been a long time coming. Management this recent semesters seemed a little rough. More than that, I feel that the amenities themselves need a lot of work, as they

have gotten a lot worse in the few years, perhaps due to management? Unsure. The buildings are dirty and don't get cleaned enough (i.e. filthy carpets, trash, plain dirt that needs swept). They also just need maintenance done (inside and outside, ie. Falling trim outside women's building). Often management is not in office or answering messages either which is tricky to deal with. Adding in that the gym is practically non-existent (if you care about that) and you pay extra for laundry. There is also no air conditioning built in. You definitely get what you pay for, as it is one of the cheapest student housing available, but it's unfortunate seeing that it's gotten worse than it was when I first got here. I know of other complexes with more or less the same pay with much better (and cleaner) amenities. If you don't care about things, it can be a great place to live. The residents and wards are fantastic! But the place itself can be rough. I have loved most of my time here up until this last year, but I hope for future residents it just improves from here!
